Pressing & Sublimation Suggestions
Always protect fabric with clean butcher/blowout paper to prevent direct heat marks.
Pre-press: 10 seconds for standard polyester; for thicker/plush styles, pre-press the entire garment for 20 seconds (press in sections if needed) to lay fibers and smooth the surface.
Standard time & temp guide: 370°F for 60 seconds. General range: 375°F–385°F for 60–70 seconds. Adjust for your press and pressure.
For shorts or edges, let the image hang off the platen and repress sides for 10–15 seconds to soften indentations. Rip transfer paper edges or cover the whole piece to reduce square marks.
Consider heat-activated sublimation paper or adhesive spray to improve image hold and reduce shifting.
